Virescent 2

Description:

The current game that is playable in the browser is a remake of the original Virescent. The original game is at https://eightstep.itch.io/virescent-og. 

This new game is a platformer that takes place in a similar environment to the original Virescent. Davy, the player, explores a jungle around him and eventually, on his way to reach the nearby settlement, runs into a guardian robot that he must defeat in order to continue onwards.  Overall, this new game is livelier and more energetic than the previous version. In the original,  Davy explores a group of floating islands that have remnants of an old civilization. He enters a ruined castle where he eventually runs into a toxic monster that he has to defeat to continue. Upon beating the final monster, the castle is taken over by green vines and restored. That is why I originally named my game Virescent, which means “changing to green.”
